That is a hard question for me to answer because it is what from your perspective what is the best invention in 2007. If I was a person who is big into reading about technology and science maybe I could tell you what the best invention of the year from them but I can’t. I only research when I am buying something. The rest of the tech information I get is just chatter. Bits of information flying around the place like adverts for high definition TVs in newspapers, someone on the radio yakking about iPhones and podcasts etc.  

And when a piece of technology comes out I am a bit sheepish. I don’t rush out and buy it. I found that when the Playstation 3 came out it was like 600 euros and that was way too expensive. I wanted to see if it would establish itself or flop like the Sega Dreamcast and for a decent library of games to develop. So my favourite invention that I own in 2007 won’t be something made this year but maybe a product developed ages ago.

For me the best technological advance in 2007 I made was finally getting broadband. Oh, to think of the hours wasted gawking at the screen waiting for dialup. The screechy noises, the missed phone calls, turning pictures off so pages would download faster. I wont be going on a nostalgia trip about it any time soon.

What it is that your little hamster runs around its wheel turning causing the paper to shred. This uses no electricity and the paper can be used as bedding. Instead of on/off switches there are holes for food and water. It isn’t practical and is not for sale but it is neat and ecofriendly.

Its something to look forward to, tea breaks the day up. Tea with biscuits, tea with donuts, tea with scones, tea on its own there are so many options.

No I wouldn’t have coffee. Been there done that. The problem with coffee was I used to overdo it. I would be there sitting at my desk like a beaver on PCP chewing my HB pencil. My mind and my heart would be racing, I felt like this must be how people feel in life and death situations.

Coffee has gotten very tiger cubbish as well. There is an image thing there about sipping an iced decaf triple grande five pump soy no whip Mocha. Huh… tis far from the plain people of ireland who have their dinner in the middle of the day.

Now for the science bit of tea. Tea is made from the tea bush or camellia sinenis and there are four types black tea, oolong tea, green tea and white tea. The following illustration shows what is done with the leaves from the bush to the final product.

Ok end of blog entry, its time for a cup of tea and a chat.

And these choppers can be equipped with M60 machine guns, tear gas and napalm but I don’t think I will need these as I don’t live in Limerick. (only joking!!!)

It would be great for international travel also as it can fly at 196 miles an hour and the guards wont ask you to step out of the vehicle, and do you know what speed you were doing etc.So pop off to Monaco for the grand prix, over to Paris for a bit of shopping and to London for a bit of strawberries and cream at Wimbledon. 

And on a serious note you could go to any hospital you wanted without spending hours on a train or on the road.
